Seek... share... heal... grow. This is the heart of therapy. Therapy is less about how smart a therapist is or if they're trained or certified in all the latest treatment models. Good therapy gets underneath the fixation of fixing and being fixed. Good therapy occurs when a therapist provides an environment where being heard, understood, accepted, and valued is at the center. Many of our struggles are rooted in early experiences where we were not heard, understood, accepted and valued. This often results in adulthood addictions, high levels of anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, health concerns, etc.
I try to stay away from clinical therapy language. It's not that it's bad, it's just not me. The clients I work with tend to want the same. So, I seek to provide a relaxed environment that invites an exploration of life concerns in a way that is competently un-clinical. We will use language of the heart in a way that brings relief to the mind and body.
Please feel free to contact me via email or phone with any questions about my practice or background. I don't pressure anyone to set an appointment when calling and my only concern is answering the questions you may have. If you want to set a time to meet, that's up to you and I will not place any pressure on you to do so.
